Job Opening for Engineer in Advantage Technical (Houston, TX 77002)

Pay: 90K to 110K

The Engineer reports to the Engineering Manager. This position serves as the primary engineering expertise for electrical power integration, low and medium voltage systems architecture, and technical proposal content for bids and proposals to a diverse pool of customers. The candidate will be in a cross functional environment with sales, applications engineering, and EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) teams.

Description:

Develops electrical systems engineering, architecture, and technical proposal content for Enchanted Rock bids and proposals.

Collaborates and leads conceptual design feasibility exercises with prospective customers.

Conducts front-end electrical engineering design (FEED) on approved bids and proposals.

Serves as the primary customer technical point of contact during the bid process, contract execution, and transition to engineering, procurement & construction (EPC).

Coordinates inputs as needed for bids and proposals from engineering technical resources across all the Enchanted Rock operating companies and disciplines, including development engineering, project engineering, sustaining engineering, and product management.

Responsible for the feasibility, technical risk, producibility, and maintainability of submitted technical bids and proposals.

Captures recurring needs identified by prospective customers and conveys those to the Engineering Manager for consideration as future research and development projects.

Delivers profitable engineering solutions that optimize the value proposition for our customers.

Participates in peer reviews with team on FEED design and costing tasks

Additional responsibilities may be added at the direction of Company’s management.

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering Technology.

3+ years of grid electrical power or related industry experience in engineering, systems engineering, systems architect, or technical proposals.

3+ years of experience in switchgear layout, cable scheduling, and 1-line/ 3-line designs.

Experience with low (<600V) and medium voltage (>600V) power systems design.

Experience with construction-based electrical engineering drawings.

Communicates well with colleagues and customers, effectively, and professionally.
