| Job Description : | ERM is seeking a Visualization & Engineering Design Specialist to join our visualization impact assessment team and support in preparation of graphic communications material for our renewable (wind, solar and hydropower) energy clients, energy delivery clients (electric, transmission and pipelines), and our extractive industry clients (mining and oil & gas). Deliverables include, legally defensible 3D visual simulations, artistic renderings, outreach materials including VR 360 degree simulations and interactive 3d environments. The successful candidate will support in the preparation of visual simulations to inform SLVIAs and VIA reports and related analyses for Environmental Impact Statements, state and federal utility licensing applications, and stakeholder engagements. The candidate will also need to be able to carry out site visits, fieldwork, and defensible field photography to be used in the various outreach material. A broad range of experience on large-scale projects in the power and oil and gas sectors is preferable along with a passion for communicating, and an enjoyment of the outdoors. Visualization technology is on the cutting edge and is consistently being updated and created. The preferable candidate should mimic this and always be striving towards the future. Key Responsibilities: Contribute to preparation of legally defensible 3D visual simulations and artistic renderings for Environmental Impact Statements and state licensing applications for a wide range of projects. Create 3d models, renderings, photomontages, simulations, and animations. Site visits for overall reconnaissance including documentation of baseline conditions through photos and observation, and panoramic photography Work with cutting edge hardware and software to help revolutionize communicating complex civil designs to the public with easy-to-understand interactive simulations. Key Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in the preparation of 3D visualizations, 3D modeling and 3D simulation MUST HAVE demonstrated abilities with Autodesk 3D Studio Max including modelling, texturing, lighting and basic animation. Blender experience is a plus Experience with translation of data from a wide assortment of softwares and coordinate systems (Lidar/point cloud experience a plus) Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects and Illustrator skills) Experience with Google earth and Sketch up Vray Render experience and real-time GPU rendering is a plus Civil 3D and ArcGIS or Global Mapper experience is a plus Forest Pack Pro and Rail Clone or other scattering and optimization plugins is a plus Ability to work on tight project deadlines as both an individual and part of a team Execute multiple projects within scope / schedule / budget expectations and ensure quality standards on deliverables A passion for innovation in the 3D sector and willingness to advance the quality of work.
