| Job Description : | Job Description Test Stand Engineer Indianapolis, IN The Test Stand Engineer will report to the Test Operations Manager. The Test Stand Engineer will directly support activities related to the planning, preparing and executing technical work tied to testing, in coordination with Test Engineers. Additionally, this individual will prepare hardware; facility or execute test through coordination with the Test Engineers. The Test Stand Engineer will support assembly, installation, test experiment, removal, teardown, and disposition of the test article. The Test Stand Engineer will provide validated data and prepare simple reports. The Test Stand Engineer will support preparation of cost and schedule estimates. Key Accountabilities: To be a point of contact within a given engineering discipline and to share subject matter knowledge across the function. This may include providing advisory services to designated customers, influencing their peer group, representing senior departmental staff and acting as advisor / coach on matters where they are technically authoritative. Defined technical packages / investigations of work providing delivery against programme milestones within agreed cost, timescale and quality requirements. Resolve problems through evaluative judgements. Evaluate, select, apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria using evaluated judgment based on factual information from multiple sources, interprets results and identifies effective solutions by applying their own technical knowledge, expertise and engineering judgement. (new, combined bullet point) Actively promote, encourage, and support the identification and implementation of continuous improvement(s) of tools, processes, and methods both within and outside their immediate sphere and prompt action across the wider team Responsibly apply sound engineering principles to the technology demands of the job Develop imaginative, thorough, and practical solutions to a variety of complex technical problems and provide continuous operation efficiency improvements Work Schedule is a 9/80 shift pattern, with some expectation of overtime work.
