As part of a newly formed chemical processing team you will be responsible for the chemical processing for corrosion protection of fracture critical flight hardware. In this position, you will be helping with commissioning newly installed corrosion protection systems. You will operate various material handling equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, flight vehicle and subassembly transportation equipment, and other ground support equipment as required. You will perform cleaning of tanks and chemical inspections to drawings, specifications, written procedures and respond to unexpected conditions. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Qualifications: High School diploma or GED Expertise in one or more of the following: corrosion protection, anodization, chemical conversion coatings (Alodine), waste transfer, etching, tank loading/unloading, cathodic/anodic systems Knowledge of safety procedures for chemicals handling Must be able to be respirator qualified Ability to work respectfully and cooperatively with diverse teams in a dynamic environment displaying strong work ethic with close attention to detail Ability to read/interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures Basic computer skills such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc. Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to climb ladders/stairs and work in small, restricted areas Experience in lifting/handling/packaging and transport of fracture critical hardware Perform repetitive work including lifting of heavy items, >50lbs Familiarity with Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) techniques used for fracture critical hardware quality verification (e.g. dye penetrant inspection) Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Passion for our mission: Millions of people living and working in space!
