Do your job, do it well, and do it on time.· Provide technical management for all phases of a project including, but not limited to, scope development, proposal reviews, hours estimate, design, engineering specifications, materials procurement, route selection, permitting, construction/constructability assessment, and calculations.· Conduct site visits and sub-contractor plan reviews, attending technical/progress review meetings as required.· Coordinate with project managers and project staff to conduct QA/QC reviews and ensure consistency/adherence to client/MRS/industry standards in execution of project management activities. Under the guidance of the Senior Director of Engineering and HR, provide leadership, training, development, annual appraisal, and supervision of divisional employees.· Conduct economic and technical feasibility assessments, investigating various alternatives, and making recommendations on course of action.· Stay informed of industry issues and technical trends.· Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.· Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.· Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: · In-depth understanding of the industry including risk management, compliance, and regulatory requirements.· Familiarity with CAD, GIS software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, etc.), and relative concepts.· Working knowledge of profit & loss statements, and budget to actual variance is preferred.· Excellent oral and written communication skills.· Ability to convey technical concepts in a clear and concise manner with project team members.· Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.· Ability to research, understand, interpret, and seek regulatory agency guidance for industry appropriate laws, rules, regulations, and similar legal requirements.· Ability to travel and work extended hours for project assignments and meetings.·Education and Experience: · Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical is preferred) plus a minimum of seven (7) years of directly related experience.· A minimum of ten years of natural gas or water design experience is preferred.· Seasoned experience in one or more of the following: modeling, HDD design, M&R design, linear transmission/distribution with up to 25% field work, MAOP, and permitting.· Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.Physical Demands:Duties are performed in an office environment.· Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.· The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.· Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery· The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers and clients.
