| Job Description : | The role of a Sanitary Engineer/Sr. Sanitary Engineer is to take the lead in technical designs and investigations and to coordinate the necessary tasks required to complete small to medium size projects. This may include the coordination of project scopes, work hours and budgets. The Sanitary Engineer/Sr. Sanitary Engineer trains and guides the development of lower-level engineering staff and technicians. This individual must demonstrate excellent communications with both upper management and lower-level staff, and the coordination with in-house departments and sub-consultants. Further, the Sanitary Engineer/Sr. Sanitary Engineer will participate with the preparation and delivery of proposal packages and client presentations. This role is open to remote work for an individual living in California due to the Ca. Project Engineering license.RESPONSIBILITIES:Completes designs, plans, specifications, technical reports & estimates for projects of varying ComplexityCommunicates & coordinates with all levels within the organization as well as with sub-consultants, regulatory agencies and clientsReviews work products by lower-level engineering staff, technicians & interns for quality and mentoring for career development and increased productivitySupports project managers for budget and scope control, billings, and invoicingAssists in proposal development & client presentationsEngages the engineering community and professional societies, building professional contacts and enhancing career developmentQUALIFICATIONS:BS in Civil Engineering, MS in engineering a plus5-25 years progressive experience in consulting/municipal engineeringProfessional engineering license requiredExperience in hydraulics, Wastewater/Sanitary/Stormwater pump station design, Drinking water pipeline relocation and designAbility to multi-task, delegate assignments & lead small groupsEffective written and verbal skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and manage timeWorking knowledge of MS Office, GIS, AutoCAD and other relevant engineering softwareMark Thomas is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
