Minimum Position Qualifications
Associate’s degree or two (2) year of relevant experience.
Special Conditions
The department is especially interested in candidates with engineering laboratory and field work experience.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday
8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
May need to work/travel beyond normal work schedule.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. Job Duties

Maintains and repairs civil engineering laboratory and field equipment and tools, including assisting faculty and students in the use of civil engineering equipment. Coordinates lab safety and hazardous materials. Assist in installing, maintaining and repairing civil engineering laboratory and field equipment and tools according to established procedures and specifications.

Designs and fabricates tools, parts, and equipment in support of laboratory classes, research projects, and student projects.

Utilizes machine shop and perform some welding for research and student projects.
