The work environment is friendly, challenging and fun, with flexible work terms and highly competitive salaries and benefits.Learn how high-tech manufacturing can provide an exciting and rewarding career path with endless possibilities..OBJECTIVE: Quality Assurance Manager focuses on providing confidence that the Company’s quality requirements will be fulfilled.RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the quality assurance function consistent with QMS policies and procedures to ensure that products and services are fit for purpose and meet SSI and customer expectationsEnsure compliance to the ISO 9001 quality standard and lead audits and certification, as requiredCoordinate continuous improvement activities in system compliance, product quality and customer satisfactionInterface with sales, engineering, purchasing and manufacturing on product launches and outsourcing decisions to ensure SSI and its suppliers are capable of delivering to the required quality standardsLead specific quality improvement initiatives and drive problem resolution in conjunction with manufacturing, engineering and other functional areasLead root cause analysis and corrective actions for internal and supplier quality issues and organize formal and informal problem solving in such areas as scrap, process quality, warranty, etc.Prepare product and process quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends and initiates action to resolve issues and drive continuous improvementDevelop quality documents, plans, inspections and mistake-proofing measures for procured items and production partsSupport purchasing with the supplier approval process by assessing supplier manufacturing, inspection and technology capabilities, and quality systems, as well as continue to develop and implement best practices that emphasis defect prevention and reduction in variationEstablish supplier quality requirements, review purchase orders and specifications, change requests and contracts and ensure that the necessary criteria and provisions are included in the quality and process plansLead, train and champion APQP, problem solving, statistical process control, gage R & R etc.Set department objectives and KPI’s and report on performance to target and identify any actions requiredProvide leadership, direction, management and development to the quality organizationSupervise workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrityREQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in quality management or similar fieldStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience with APQP, FMEA, DOE, SPC and related statistical toolsProficient in Microsoft Office productsSix Sigma/Lean skills and ISO Certification experienceCompetent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision makingExperience dealing with manufacturing, suppliers and customersPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sit [50%}, Stand [50%], Lift [up to 25lbs], Walk, Bend, Stoop, Reach, Push & Pull, as well as Finger/Hand dexterity.WHY CHOOSE SYSTEM SEALS?Strong ethics and valuesExcellent co-workers and team oriented working environmentOpportunity to work for a growing, global companyAbility to learn and grow professionallyCompetitive compensation and benefits packagesJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveProfessional development assistanceReferral programTuition reimbursementVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payCOVID-19 considerations:Social distancing required and daily sanitization or work spaces.
