We put consumers at the core of what we do and are continually looking to improve our people, knowledge, processes and technologies to accomplish this.JOB OVERVIEWPosition has the responsibility for planning and coordinating all technical activities on assigned projectsPlans, schedules, conducts and coordinates engineering work including capital projects and maintenance technical assistance, monitors work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and PIM Brands standardsEnsures the effective communication and coordination between all departments and project participantsResponsible and accountable to ensure the requirements of the project are metUtilizes technical knowledge and awareness of details to recognize when technical problems are developing and to initiate corrective actionsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating the technical and management aspects of projectAssists in the preparation of engineering proposalsReport food safety and quality issues to Plant management and SQFFollow PIM Brands GMP rulesMonitor fellow employees for adherence to GMPsMonitors budgets and tracks trendsParticipates in project meetings and meetings with outside engineers and contractorsReviews project costs and invoicesEmploy project management skillsCreate, monitor and execute project engineering schedules and forecastsCoordinate and follow up on engineering deliverablesProcess status reports and change ordersProvide technical solutions that support business needs in areas of safety, quality, sanitation, cost and environmental issuesExecute resource conservation projects that drive cost savings and complianceDevelop and execute the best technical solutionsAbility to work additional hours as neededPHYSICAL DEMANDS/ ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSStanding, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling and crouching. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools and controls. Lifting and moving of objects weighing at least 25 lbs. Reasonable accommodations will be evaluated and considered to enable an individual to perform the essential job functions.WORK ENVIRONMENTJob will generally be performed in an office and plant environment. When on the plant floor, it is representative of a large, busy manufacturing operation. Noisy, active, objects on the floor, constant movement and traffic flow of motorized equipment. Hair net, beard net, assigned work uniform, protective eye wear, ear protection and gloves are among the GMP required apparel that must be worn, if indicated, on the plant floor. Instructions shall be available setting out how all tasks critical to meeting customer specifications, the maintenance of food safety, quality and process efficiency is to be performed.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAININGBS Engineering degree preferred, Masters preferredMinimum 3 – 5 years of project engineering experience required; food manufacturing experience highly desiredCompetency in packaging and process system design requiredProven track record of managing medium to large projects is essentialProven core competency in planning, budgeting, schedule tracking and management cost control is neededDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power Point and Microsoft Project requiredMust be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writingMust possess strong time management and prioritization skillsExcellent troubleshooting skills are necessary as is the ability to identify root causes and associated solutionsMust be able to manage multiple projects at various stages of completion and meet project demands and deadlinesWhat We Offer: We invite you to come and build a SWEET career at PIM Brands.
