The Company is looking for a dynamic project management leader with a background in Mechanical Engineering. Candidates who have or are in the process of obtaining PE certification will be strongly considered.The right candidate will be able track the evolution of 100+ projects from conception to completion and work closely with a wide array of interested parties including but not limited to representatives of the building owner, general contractors, sub-contractors, municipal fire departments, RescueAir certified installers and other staff members. Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, organization, communication, and multi-tasking abilities are essential ingredients for success in this role.Our Project Engineer/Mechanical Engineering Representative will have the below responsibilities: Review and edit architectural plans and drawing packages including Site Plans, Floor Plans, Elevations, Equipment Details, Equipment Schedule, Wiring Details and Piping DistributionPrepare project specific FARS specifications, details & preliminary piping design.Coordinate with RescueAir’s BIM/CAD Modelers and Mechanical Engineers to produce FARS Design Drawings & Breathing Air CalculationsDistribute Design Drawings & Submittal Data per Jurisdictional RequirementsFacilitate Permits from Application through Plan Check to Approval including the production of permit drawings.Provide Technical Support for Client RFIs and Engineering Requests including, but not limited to, Fire Code requirements, equipment callouts, space requirements, etc.Engage on a peer-to-peer level with architects and engineers from other entities.Collaborate with Certified Installers, Internal Design-Build Team and other project subcontractors during the construction phase to ensure compliance with RescueAir permit documents.Trouble-shoot and problem-solve the challenges that inevitably arise given the complexities of the building trade construction process.Learn every aspect of a successful FARS installation and support all stakeholders in achieving success including testing and final commissioning inspections, record keeping and documentation.Modify all above activities and responsibilities as FARS systems evolve.Our ideal Project Engineer/Mechanical Engineering Representative should demonstrate or be prepared to obtain the following experience, knowledge, skills, attributes, and certifications: Three or more years of experience managing construction projectsThe ability to apply technical information to the specifics of a construction projectExperience creating and editing plans and designs in AutoCAD 2021, Revit & BluebeamKnowledge of the FARS standards adopted by each municipalityHands-on Technical AptitudeSelf-motivation, independence, and a sense of urgency in driving solutionsThe ability to coordinate, prepare for and run efficient meetings with multiple stakeholdersExperience documenting scope changes, executing change orders and anticipating how they will impact the sequence and timing of a construction project.Ability to influence project timelines to minimize or eliminate cost impact to RAExperience negotiating win-win accommodations and outcomes when conflicts ariseMechanical Engineering Degree or Deep Project Management Building-Trade ExperienceProject Management Professional (PMP) CertificationProfessional Engineer License (PE)Effective communicator to people at all levelsDetailed knowledge of the International Fire Code & NFPA-1 codes as it relates to FARSWhy choose us: For the right person, the dynamics of this position will be challenging and rewarding.Our team is comprised of smart and talented individuals who work hard to meet the challenges of a dynamic environment.This is a key role in a rapidly growing company providing the opportunity for personal growth.Apply Now!Job Type: Full-timePay: $60,000.00 – $75,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Paid time offSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Work Location: One location
