Position Summary: The Production Supervisor/Manufacturing Engineer position performs direct manufacturing supervision of activities in the production department, performs engineering and process enhancements in support of the department objectives to provide goods and services that meet customer’s requirements for quality, quantity, and timeliness. Duties/Responsibilities: Responsible to follow Medical Murray Quality system, including all applicable SOP’s included in the Training Matrix Leading assigned team in achieving safety, quality, cost, on-time delivery, productivity, and employee engagement goals Provide direct supervision for production employees in assigned area and lead in the coaching, counseling, and disciplinary/performance management activities while simultaneously administering and maintaining company policies Creating, maintaining, and improving the manufacturing processes for assigned product line Ensures compliance of, and adherence to, internal procedures and processes; maintains company quality standards Ensures that all company established practices are followed and maintained Ensures strict adherence to safety requirements Ensures that targets for productivity are maintained Makes recommendations and leads projects to improve the operations with regards to quality, efficiency, and delivery Manages KPI’s that monitor operational efficiency in key areas of Quality, Safety, Attendance, Productivity, and Scrap Trains and appraises all manufacturing personnel Performs other duties as requested Qualifications/Education/Experience: Proven leader that can embrace and promote change in a dynamic environment Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse group and knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management Understanding of metrics and practices related to operational labor and materials BS or MS in Biomedical, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering 0-5 years in a leadership role Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a high degree of attention to detail Good communication skills Ability to manage time and self to meet organizational objectives Knowledge of floor layout, tooling, fixturing, and Lean methods Excellent people skills and the ability to work with a variety of groups in a matrix environment to facilitate and foster effective change Ability to manage and resolve conflict amongst peers and manufacturing groups Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite |
