Come join our team!We are looking for a Production Manager for our Denton location to oversee and manage production employees while ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality in production operations.ResponsibilitiesHire and train production employees.Organize, direct, and oversee the schedules and work of production employees.Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.Collaborate with other managers and supervisors to coordinate activities in and among departments/companies.Collect, evaluate, analyze, and assess production data.Regularly inspect and evaluate products for quality and defects.Identify and correct problems and inefficiencies in process, materials, equipment, or skills.Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices including those related to safety and health.Develop and implement procedures and strategies to ensure a safe work environment.Collaborate with other departmental managers to develop and execute budget.Coordinate logistics of shipping department.Monitor and maintain inventory levels.Drive a forklift as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.Work overtime as needed, available Monday through Saturday.Education and experienceAssociates degree in related field, or equivalent industry work experience required, Bachelor’s degree in Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.At least three years of supervisory experience highly preferred.Knowledge, skills, and abilitiesBilingual English/Spanish language required.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.Proficient with QuickBooks or ability to learn QuickBooks.Lean Six Sigma/lean manufacturing experience preferred.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong supervisory and leadership skills.Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.Ability to perform minor mechanical work and machine maintenance a plus.Thorough understanding of safety and health laws, regulations, and policies.Thorough understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost management, supply chain management, and other effective manufacturing and distribution techniques.Physical requirementsProlonged periods of standing and walking on concrete.Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on computers.Ability to climb stairs.Pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and frequent lifting of heavy objects.Must be able to move and lift up to 100 pounds unassisted.Must be able to lift up to 150 pounds with assistance.Must be able to push weights up to 500 pounds with a team.Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment.Visual acuity to inspect products and machinery.Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Day shiftOvertimeEducation:High school or equivalent (Required)Experience:supervisory: 1 year (Required)Language:English and Spanish (Required)Work Location: One location |
