Job Title: Process Engineer Supervisor’s Title: Senior Process Engineer Department: Engineering FLSA: Exempt Location: 4447 Carolina Avenue, Richmond, VA 23222 Description: As a Process Engineer you will participate in the full lifecycle of novel and innovative manufacturing processes and equipment. Your role will focus on testing, deployment and continuous improvement under the guidance of a Senior Engineer. You will also collaborate with the team on the invention, prototyping, development, installation, and testing of processes and mechanical systems. At all times, you will provide safety leadership by observing and adhering to safety regulations throughput all project phases. Essential Job Functions: Performing all work with an emphasis on safety and quality Experimental design and execution Data collection and analysis Manufacturing support for process deployment or continuous improvement including night or weekend shifts if required Writing and editing Standard Operating Procedures and other process or equipment documentation Root cause analysis and risk assessment of manufacturing processes and/or equipment Domestic and international travel for system deployment and continuous improvement Assisting team members to maintain the cleanliness of the work area Ensuring that tools are in good repair and returned to designed locations Lifting and carrying up to 50lbs Utilize Microsoft Office (e.g. Word and Excel) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Detail oriented with high sense of urgency and positive attitude Development and Application of Statistical Process Control for new processes Proficient in Factory Talk Historian and Vantage Point Proficient in interacting with SQL databases Strong communication and interpersonal skills Multi-lingual preferred Strong organizational skills Able to stay on task with minimal supervision Ability to learn new process and develop new skills Works well under pressure and able to meet deadlines Education and Certifications: 3 + years industrial experience in Process Engineering BS in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field Physical Requirements: Able to lift 40 pounds unassisted Able to reach, bend, kneel and climb while performing repetitive tasks Ability to work in hot and cold environments Able to correctly wear PPE for entire shifts Able to react and respond quickly to noises, smells, visual hazards, and alerts TemperPack provides Equal Employment Opportunity to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex/gender (including pregnancy, childbirth, and related medical conditions, sexual orientation, and gender identity), national origin, age, disability, genetic information, or status as a covered veteran/reservist, and any other class of protected individuals, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
