Primary Location: United States (US) – Iowa – Dubuque Function: Product Engineering Title: Powertrain Engineer – 83561 Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position Your Responsibilities As a Powertrain Engineer for John Deere’s Construction and Forestry (C&F) Division in Dubuque, IA, you will…. Have responsibility for design, while supporting verification, and modeling of engine, engine auxiliary, cooling, and/or exhaust components for excavator machine forms. Support production launches and experimental builds at our world-wide factories Support warranty reduction and resolution of field issues Visa sponsorship is NOT available for this position. What Skills You Need 3 or more years of product design, test or analysis experience in the areas of engine or cooling system design 3 or more years demonstrating strong technical communication, leadership, and organizational skills 1 or more years of experience with 3D modeling packages and modeling tools What Makes You Stand Out Experience as a team lead or subject matter expert Experience working in/with JDPS (John Deere Power Systems) Engine, engine auxiliaries, or cooling design experience Excavator design experience Experience with Product Verification and Validation processes Master’s Degree in engineering Education Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience What You’ll Get At John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go.
