| Job Description : | Position: Plant ManagerDuties & Responsibilities Responsible for managing all aspects of Biodiesel production including:Demonstrate a positive personal and professional image in representing the Company in local, statewide, and national arenasFollow all safety guidelines regulated by OSHA, and or other regulatory agenciesMeet all compliance requirements of environmental permits and regulationsPlan and schedule biodiesel production to meet customer and intra-company demand in the most efficient mannerMonitor and continually improve quality control in all aspects of biodiesel operationAssist with budgeting and monitor labor and other expenses in the biodiesel plantImprove production efficiency at the facilities and implement processing changes and implement new technologies as directedPlan and budget for new projects related to biodiesel productionEnsure Process Safety Management (PSM) program is complete and consistently implementedKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExcellent communication, leadership & interpersonal relationship skillsProven ability to improve plant performance to best-in-classKnowledge of principles, theories, and current issues in the production of chemicals including distillation, batch reactions, centrifuge separations, etc.A strong desire to improve, as well as use existing, knowledge base for the betterment of the overall operationAbility to plan, organize and prioritize time and workload in order to accomplish tasks and meet deadlinesManagerial level computer skills and working knowledge of standard business softwareRequired Credentials and ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferably Chemical) and/or Management preferredAt least 10 years of proven managerial experience in Chemical or Industrial management.History of being a change agent to turn around plant operationsCapital project management experienceEquivalent combination of education and experienceSpecial Requirements: Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as plant and equipment conditions dictateEqual Opportunity Policy American Biodiesel, dba Community Fuels is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
