| Job Description : | Duties & Responsibilities: Troubleshooting specialized equipment and conducting repairsProactive attitude to ensure that equipment is available, in working order, and ready for use when needed – including performing preventative maintenanceContacting and liaising with outside vendors for repair when necessaryKnowledge in how to treat the reactors and equipment delicately so that breakable pieces are not harmed during setup, repair, and useAdept at creative problem solving to ensure appropriate equipment is available for use when neededGMP documentation associated with repairsPerform reactor qualifications to ensure compliance with cGMP requirementsMaintain a parts inventory to allow for quick repairsUse available literature and outside resources to learn details of using and fixing equipment that there otherwise isn’t historical departmental knowledge aboutIdentify, purchase, and put into service new equipment to help solve common challenges faced by the teamCreatively identify ways to improve function and efficiency within the labsOwnership and initiative to perform duties largely unsupervisedDedication needed to ensure availability when manufacturing timelines may be affected by emergency equipment repairAssist in manufacturing batches of API, under cGMP protocols, for use in human clinical trials.Lead routine manufacturing of commercial excipients under cGMP protocols.Mentor and train laboratory staff in equipment maintenance and repair.Manage product changeover operations including equipment cleaning, equipment setup and breakdown, and suite readiness.Equipment to work on/become proficient, using and maintaining.
