Responsibilities:Self-starter with the ability to recognize and creatively solve complex problemsDesign and prototyping of cutting edge mechanical systems including CADPerforming experiments in an independent & inventive mannerDocumenting project progress Desired qualifications would include some of the following:Adaptability: broad interest in science and technology with a willingness and interest in expanding into new fields and learning new techniques and skillsExcellent writing skillsSolid understanding of numerical modeling, design of experiments, and prototype fabrication methodsExperience conducting technology assessments and analysis of alternatives Proficient with MS OfficeFamiliar with Solidworks Education/Experience:BS in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field. Advanced degree is a plus.0-3 years experience working in product design and prototype fabrication and testing is desired.
