| Job Description : | MUST HAVE 10-15 YEARS EXPERIENCECompany Overview: Composite Motors, Inc. is a vertically integrated OEM manufacturer of permanent magnet brushless DC motors and harsh environment drivers for the aerospace, defense and medical industries. The Company is located in Brooksville, Florida, a short commute from Tampa Bay.Position Overview: CMI is currently seeking a manufacturing engineer to work proactively with the product development team to facilitate the transition of new products out of the R&D, or detail design phase into the released/production phase. You will be working closely with product development engineers and providing your expertise to ensure the product designs meet production feasibility requirements, and quality best practices. You will be working with a wide range of manufacturing technology like; automation equipment, complex tooling and fixturing, technical adhesives, and industrial equipment. The product lines you will be working with are primarily comprised of precision electromechanical assemblies, PCB assembly & soldering, and hermetic electronics enclosures.Essential Job Functions:Consult or negotiate with Company management and clients to prepare project specifications.Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.Confer with Engineering Staff and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to company management and clients.Help develop procedures and ensure adherence to those procedures that enable the Company to comply with applicable industry standards such as AS9100.Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports.Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department.Other duties as assigned by CTO and COO.Supplemental Job Functions: Support sales and marketing teams by providing time & feasibility studies on new customer RFP’s.Support design engineering teams by providing manufacturing and process research findings.Comply to configuration management lifecycle, documentation, revision requirements for all works produce.Collaborate with vendors and suppliers when required.Requirements/Qualifications: A range of experience and education levels will be considered for this position, the ideal candidate will possess;B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering or related field.Experience working in an ISO 9001 or AS9100 company a plus.10-15 years of experienceOther Skills/Abilities: Must be proficient with SolidWorks, but other CAD platforms may be acceptable.Must be proficient with Microsoft office programs.Proficiency with one or more of the common ERP software programs.Proficiency with PDM and/or PLM software a plus.Employer does reference/background check and drug testing.
