| Job Description : | Hargrove is now hiring a Mechanical Engineer to join our Technical Services team for an on-site opportunity in Augusta, GA! Education: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university is required.Registration: Professional Engineering registration is highly preferred but is not required.Experience: This position requires 5+ years of relevant industrial experience in mechanical engineering at a chemical plant or similar manufacturing setting. Experience with maintenance engineering, reliability engineering, and/or equipment management is preferred. Experience with HVAC, dust collection design and calculations is preferred. Experience with bulk material handling equipment is preferred (screw conveyors, bucket elevators, etc.) Additional experience with CMMS software and SAP is preferred.This position is generally responsible for performing all aspects for complete designs of small and large mechanical engineering assignments using theoretical knowledge and practical design methods. This work will be performed under general supervision at a chemicals facility in Augusta, GA. This is a full-time, long-term need offering full benefits and competitive compensation.Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Asset Management:o Feed the long term asset plan with the necessary information to allow appropriate technical health evaluationo Develop and implement asset technical health evaluation techniques through preventive maintenance inspection planso Develop models for asset remaining lifetime estimationReliability Engineering:o Perform criticality analysis to focus on critical improvement areaso Facilitate root-cause analysis on major technical failureso Determine reliability improvement actions in collaboration with technical services, ensure its implementation and check its effectivenesso Optimize the preventive Maintenance plans by checking inspection results against asset failures occurrenceso Translate improvement actions into effective job instructions, task lists and implement it into SAPQualifications: Candidate Qualifications:Engineering Degree, BS or MS.
