Description
This role will ensure production execution, provide leadership and manufacturing engineering for assembly and manufacturing. Use strong leadership skills to drive the manufacturing department to develop and improve manufacturing processes through lean and six sigma concepts. Including organizational development, policy and procedure development. Manage the department/shop associates and its operations including staffing, training, planning, and coordination of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual schedules, annual business planning, budgeting, short term monitoring of departmental objectives. Interface and communicate with other department heads, vendors/suppliers, and counterparts. Provide leadership, mentorship, guidance, and support to manufacturing team members.
Qualifications
Requirements include 4 Year Degree in Engineering/Manufacturing or equivalent, Minimum 7 years management experience in a manufacturing production environment, resource allocation, cost analysis, product quality planning, vendor interfacing, production part approval process, and continual improvement processes. Must have leadership experience with direct reports, performance reviews, counselling and disciplinary discussions, team building and problem-solving, associate training and support growth planning. Must have some experience with operating/setting up manual machines (mill, lathe, etc.)
Ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, effective interpersonal skills; good verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to work in team environment with many varying personalities. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, Good PC skills and knowledge. Must have an understanding and technical knowledge of close tolerance machining processes (mill, lathe, etc.). Understanding of quality assurance inspection and measurement methods, Motorsports experience preferred
Must be self motivated, self-directed with minimal supervision and work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
