MISSION
This Facilities Manager is responsible for the management of services and process that support the core business of an organization to ensure that the customer’s requirements are met on a timely basis with a manufactured product. Work is performed in a fast paced environment within tight time constraints. Unusual hours and travel may be required. This is a wide field with a diverse range of responsibilities. The Facilities Manager is involved in both strategic planning and day to day operations, particularly in relation to buildings and premises. This is a salaried, exempt position.
Primary Responsibilities
Procurement and contract management for the following:
Building and grounds maintenance and security
Cleaning requirements
Catering and vending
Health and safety
Utilities and communications infrastructure
Space management – manage utilization of the facilities
May be responsible to ensure customer requirements are met (including but not limited to: setting quality objective, corrective and preventive actions, capacity analysis, logistics information, customer score cards and customer portals.)
Train as a Crisis Team member annually.
Additional Responsibilities
Preparing documents to put out tenders for contractors
Project management and supervising and coordination work of contractors
Investigating availability and suitability of options for new premises
Calculation and comparing costs for required good or services to achieve maximum value for money
Ensure compliance with federal, state and local ordinances, regulations and codes, and insurance requirements
Planning for future development in line with strategic business objectives
Managing and leading change to ensure minimum disruption to core activities
Directing and planning essential central services such as reception, security, maintenance, mail, archiving, cleaning, catering, waste disposal and recycling
Ensuring the building meets health and safety requirements
Planning best allocation and utilization of space and resources for new building, or re-organizing current premises
Maintain the 5-S system
Using performance management techniques to monitor and demonstrate achievement of agreed service levels and to lead on improvement
Must adhere to all principles of the quality, safety, and environmental systems
Implement work completed by staff or contractors and follow up on deficiencies.
Weekly check of plant helium levels through supplier portal.
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
5 to 8 years manufacturing experience plastics and/or automotive preferred
3 to 5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Manager
Must be authorized to work in the United States without the requirement for sponsorship or transfer of Visa now or at any time in the future
Qualifications, knowledge, skills and abilities
Work requires walking, sitting, climbing, bending, stooping and standing
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. regularly
