Job Opening for Maintenance Manager in International Paper (4060 Fairview Industrial Dr SE, Salem, OR 97302)

SUMMARY
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the daily maintenance, repairs and upgrades of converting and corrugated equipment through priority setting, and the coordination of crew activities and assignments. Serves as a technical resource for production managers.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Oversee maintenance department and lead team in safety, quality, and productivity to ensure facility goals are met in meeting customer needs.
Identify areas where safety issues could arise and take measures to proactively address the concerns.
Report to Site Manager any information that may impede the operation of the plant as soon as it becomes known, while providing technical expertise regarding plant equipment and facilities.
Initiate and/or maintain a cost-effective preventive maintenance program and Implement quality improvement and cost reduction ideas.
Plans, schedules and monitors the timely completion of maintenance work orders.
Contact and work with vendors and subcontractors to achieve desired results.
Maintains adequate inventories of spare parts and purchase materials, parts, and supplies as required.
Manage daily maintenance budgeting, spending and contractor bidding process accurately in accordance with International Paper’s guidelines.
Oversee MPS coordinators responsibilities in managing the store room and asset inventories daily in accordance with International Paper’s guidelines.
Troubleshoot and solve problems.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or Equivalent.
Demonstrated personnel supervisory skills.
Four years maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam, and interrelated systems.
Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following:
Degree in Engineering or related field, and/or related technical courses.
At least four years of experience in the corrugated box industry with heavy experience in electronics, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electricity.
