Job Description : Eaton’s Power Components division is currently seeking a Lead Electronics Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Moon Township, PA location.
Position Overview:
The Lead Electronics Engineer is responsible for the architectural planning and development Meters, Relays and Communication products. The Lead Electronics Engineer will spearhead new hardware and electronic engineering projects from the initial Product Management proposal through the production launch of the product or solution for the commercial and industrial markets.

In this function you will
Lead the system electronics development Energy and Power Quality Metering and Power Distribution Communication Products
Design and develop specifications and essential performance for electronic systems
Design and testing of complex analog and digital circuits including EMI/EMC System Testing
Architect and design products with multi-processors and processors with multi-cores
Manage design controls, develop and define requirements, & testing protocols
Contribute technically while managing the tasks and providing direction and mentoring team members
Work with electronic suppliers and development partners in the management of outside design & manufacturing activities.
Handle multiple projects and priorities, with the ability to switch focus as priorities change.
Work with marketing, project manager and other team members to develop engineering specifications for product or process systems from customer requirements.
Coordinate activities with other functional areas, suppliers, contractors and consultants.
Work with team, suppliers and others to establish project schedules and budgets. Establish and review plans for multiple activities/projects; monitor and take corrective action as schedule impacts occur.
Extensive experience with Altium or other schematic capture and layout tools
Perform single-point-of-failure analyses to identify product failure points

Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited institution.
7+ years work experience in electrical product design and software combined.
3+ years experience of electrical engineering disciplines such as analog and digital circuit design, microprocessors, firmware development, digital signal processing, and RF telemetry
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Moon Township, PA will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred qualifications:
Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited institution.
1+ year experience designing products to meet UL safety requirements and working with UL for certification
Experience with developing firmware development, hardware bring-up an BSP development.
Knowledge of Power Distribution System and/or Industrial control systems
Knowledge of RTOSs
10+ years work experience in electrical product design and software combined.
