Job Opening for Landing Systems Engineering Technician in BAE Systems (Lexington Park, MD 20653)

Your duties will include:
Lab-based system installations at the Landing Systems Test Facility (LSTF) at Patuxent River, MD
Daily maintenance of lab systems at LSTF
Support flight test events at LSTF
Perform system Certification Testing aboard U.S. Navy ships
Perform System Operational Verification Tests (SOVT) of newly installed or modified systems
Perform onsite and distance Technical Assistance to the Fleet
Develop Test Plans and Procedures
Update existing drawings and test procedures
This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in St. Mary’s County, near to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidate. Applicants must be currently residing in or willing to relocate to St. Mary’s County, Maryland or surrounding areas.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

High School diploma and at least four years of related electronics experience
Experience with military electronics systems troubleshooting and maintenance
Ability to obtain a passport
Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work on US Navy ships, to include walking up and down multiple flights of stairs
Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Military electronics training in AN/USN-3(V), AN/SPN-, ASR-, SPS-, TPN-, TPS, or FPN- systems
Active security clearance
