Today we continue the tradition of providing high quality mufflers, exhaust pipes, and catalytic converters to our commercial customers and automotive service professionals.We are seeking an Industrial Engineer to create, develop, and implement efficient manufacturing systems, and reduce cost while maintaining standards of operations.Role and ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with department managers to design cost-effective manufacturing layouts and building ergonomics for new product lines.Designs, redesigns, or enhances work areas and layouts so that awkward or uncomfortable positions, repetitive motions, and inefficient operations are reduced or eliminated.Maintains knowledge of best practices in manufacturing methods, and trends and developments in technology and equipment; applies this knowledge to maintain the organization’s competitive edge.Identifies and assesses various problems and departures from established manufacturing standards and best practices; researches and recommends solutions.Develops and maintains management information, planning, and control systems.Implements methods and modifications to reduce production costs.Recommend and research new equipment ideasPerforms other duties as assigned.Qualifications and Education RequirementsDegree in Industrial Engineering or related field required.3+ Years of experience in an Industrial or Automotive Environment preferredAdvanced knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards.Critical thinking and problem-solving skillsEffective communication and presentation skillsTroubleshooting skills and attention to detail.Documentation and organization skillsMust work well in a team environment as well as independentlyExperience in a fast-paced production environment is a plusPhysical DemandsMust be able to lift 5-50lbs.Must be able to stand and/or walk for several hours at a timePushing/Pulling requiredCondition and % of time in conditionSummer Heat = 50% (Production Floor)Winter Cold = 50% (Production Floor)Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insuranceReferral programTuition reimbursementVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Work Location: One location |
