Job Description : Ambrose, a packaging equipment company is hiring an Application Engineer for the Omaha, NE territory.
OPPORTUNITY:
As our Application Engineer, you will be part of a team that supports our equipment throughout the region. Your assertiveness to jump in with both feet and diligently attack software and hardware issues will be essential to your success. As an extension of our Engineering team, you will help build customer relationships, improving processes and lead dynamic projects in multiple industries. Daily interaction with customers will provide you with the opportunity to stay in touch with user issues and to be a vital part of the customer experience that is a fundamental component of our company’s mission.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Manage assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established company objectives.
Determines needs of customer through consultation, verification and confirmation of designs in coordination with internal teams.
Develop knowledge of industry best practices in the field and assist in building strategic roadmaps.
Optimizing applications by integrating new technologies and performing upgrades
Evaluate and explore new and existing processes, equipment, and materials as an input to scheduling methods, performance metrics, and company goals.
Develop complete line layouts using AutoDesk (AutoCAD and Inventor) and/or Solidworks Software.
Performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures, as well as improving code and re-designing tasks.
Create bill of materials and fabrication drawings when required.
Perform other essential duties as assigned.
SUCCESS FACTORS:
5 years’ experience troubleshooting applications in an industrial / manufacturing setting.
Associates Degree or Certification in engineering, technology preferred.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contracts, policies, RFQ’s, and other documents.
Must be able to travel, some overnights, to customer locations in designated territory to troubleshoot installations and perform upgrades.
Creative problem-solving skills that are demonstrated with swift confidence.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with customers effectively.
The ability to work independently as well as within a team.
Work effectively in an environment with shifting priorities.
Necessary time management skills to handle a consistently high level of activity.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Ambrose Packaging will reward your sales talents with a base salary of $75K – $100K. You will also receive a competitive benefit package that includes, medical, dental, disability insurance, a 401K plan, vacation and holidays are also included. All travel expenses are paid.
