| Job Description : | Descriptiononsemi’s South Portland Wafer Fab is looking for an Experienced Equipment Technician interested in Day or Night Shift! This position requires a flexible schedule, and the willingness to work rotating 12 hour shifts, 3 days/nights on/3 days/nights off. Our Equipment Maintenance Technicians are responsible for multiple activities in support of manufacturing focusing on the maintenance of ASM Epsilon 2000 EPI reactors, atmospheric and LPCVD diffusion furnaces, TEL automated wet benches, and TEL SiC Probus reactors.These repairs and procedures are performed in an environment where toxic gas, acids, solvents, high voltage, and kinetic energy hazards exist, so the incoming technician would need to be comfortable working around chemicals in a fast-paced industrial setting. However, our employees’ safety is our number 1 priority; we will provide safety training on the job!Night shift provides a 15% shift differential on top of the base pay.Job Conditions: Working hours: Night shift, from 6:00pm to 6:00am, alternating between 3 days and 4 days per weekInitial work hours would involve training 8:00am to 5:00pm, 5 days per week for 10 to 52 weeks.Work is performed within a clean room environment that requires the wearing of a smock, hood, booties, latex gloves, and safety glasses.Requires the use of airline respirator.Requires occasional wearing of personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, aprons, gauntlets, and full face masks.Requires standing for up to 75% of shiftRequires lifting of objects that weigh up to 50 lbsMay require work with hazardous gases, chemicals, and high voltage.Job Responsibilities: Troubleshoot and repair electromechanical systems that include servo motors and controllers, stepper motors and controllers, AC motors and controllers, and DC motors and controllers.Troubleshoot and repair electro-pneumatic systems that include solenoid valves, gate valves, high vacuum isolation valves, vacuum pumps and pneumatic logic circuits.The completion of all scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance and repair procedures in a timely, accurate, and safe manner.Writing technical proceduresA safety-minded approach is required: employees must be able to learn, understand and follow all safety documentation, specs and protocol, including LOTO.
