Objective

The key mission of Engineering Tools Deployment Manager is to ensure a fast deployment within his RC of Application Engineering Tools developed centrally

Responsibilities

Build the Application Engineering Tools Deployment roadmap for his RC (targeted projects, schedule)

Lead the deployment on his RC: support local projects and provide feedback to Engineering Automation Director and his team meaning:

Contribute to the specification of these tools (writing, review), ensure that they fully address local needs:

Review specification in the tools development phase,

In case of enhancement required of the Tools or the Configuration (e.g., new solution baseline), specify the new need through Change Request process

Contribute to the configuration of the tools (Solution RailML Data Model, Engineering Rules, Conversion Rules,…). In the nominal share of the work:

The specification of the configuration files are defined by the Site Project Deployment Manager,

The design and implementation are performed by the AE Tool team.

In some specific cases, the design and implementation will be performed by the site under the responsibility of the Site Project Deployment Manager.

Contribute to the testing of these tools:
Select the Test Line to test the tools on the site solution for solutions closely dependent on national customer specificities,

Select the Pilot Project for the first tool deployment of the tools

Owner of the deployment documentation update. If needed the update of documentation can be supported by the “Solution- AE Tools Interface Manager” of the Tool Program Team.

Owner of the Interface with ISA and safety team to assess the tools and deployment process. He will be supported by “Solution- AE Tools Interface Manager” and particularly Tool safety manager (presently in STO)

Measure the QCD benefits of new tools deployment on projects

Participate actively to Engineering Tools Deployment network within the Signaling community (RoE, best practices, savings measured, continuous improvement)

Perform other related duties as assigned

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 10-15 years or more related experience

Engineering team management experience and demonstrated leadership success

Travel is necessary as needed

Minimum 5 years of experience in Signaling Projects engineering application engineering activities and system design activities

Skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 10-15 years or more related experience

Proven leadership and conflict resolution skills

Experience interfacing with internal and external customers

Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
