Description:
raSmith is a consulting civil engineering and land surveying firm. Our public and private clients come to us for creative and effective solutions for their projects. We work on projects nationwide from our seven locations in Wisconsin, Illinois and California.
We currently have an opening for an Engineering Technician in our Municipal Services Group who will work closely with a team of Civil Engineers and Technicians on a variety of municipal projects.
Engineering Technician – Primary Responsibilities:
Work closely with civil engineering team to develop civil drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D
Perform non-routine and complex assignments from verbal instructions and under minimal supervision
Recommend minor design changes requiring sound judgment and discretion
. Requirements:
Engineering Technician – Skills and Requirements:
Associates Degree in related area or 10 years of drafting experience using Civil 3D
Strong knowledge of the use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software and knowledge of CAD Standards
Familiarity with the practices and procedures pertaining to technical matters in Civil Engineering
