Job Description : Supervisory Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for mentoring, training, and directing younger engineers and designers on a project by project basis.Purpose: The Engineering Lead provides support to the engineering department through quality control reviews of plans and reports of various projects, engineering design assistance on various projects and ensures company standards are being followed.Function: An Engineering Lead is an integral part of the design team who works with project teams or independently to perform advanced engineering calculations, work with Civil Designers to develop complex grading and engineering plans, review engineering calculations and plans performed by less experienced engineers.Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for thoroughly reviewing plans, calculations, and permit application forms completed by others as part of our QA/QC process.Oversee the production of civil engineering aspects of projects.Assist Project Managers with various tasks including developing scope, schedule, and budgets for projects.Ensure corporate quality procedures and standards are followed.Provide assistance with developing engineering and QA/QC standards.Provide technical direction to and mentors less experienced engineers.Perform project functions related to the production of civil engineering plans.Meet client quality, schedule, and budget expectations.Perform technical report writing.Perform design for more complex tasks.Attend industry training events as requested by senior management.Perform other tasks requested by Client Service Manager or Senior Engineering Lead.Physical Demands and Work Conditions: Occasionally required to walk over various terrains, long or short distances and through seasonal weather conditions.Frequently required to sit.Continually required to talk or listen.Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.Qualifications: Minimum Requirements:B.S. in civil engineering or similar field from an accredited university. Applicable industry experience may be substituted at the discretion of senior management.10+ years of relevant experience.Professional Engineering (PE) License.Candidate should be proficient with utilizing design software, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D.Plan and construction documents preparation (engineering analysis, plans, reports, specifications and cost estimate).Demonstrated experience with grading and drainage.Proficient with stormwater management/best management practices.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Responsible for the effective management of own time and effort, in accordance with project priorities and objectives.Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and oversee work of less experienced engineers.Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and Outlook).Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills.Committed to working efficiently to complete tasks within budget and schedule constraints.Valid driver’s license.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with PA, OH, and WV permitting requirements.Job Type: Full-timePay: $70,000.00 – $100,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)License/Certification:Professional Engineer (Required)Work Location: One location
