Job Opening for Engineering Program Manager in BetterCloud (Atlanta, GA)

We are seeking a Engineering Program Manager to round out our Engineering Operations Team at BetterCloud. This role requires a collaborative leader with strong program management experience and deep understanding of public cloud economics, DevOps and SRE practices, financial management, and the ability to successfully influence in a highly matrixed environment.

What You’ll Do

Provide program management functions for a portfolio of complex and high-profile programs
Drive the adoption of key engineering practices like Continuous Integration & Deployment, Push Button Releases, etc. to improve quality and reliability of team’s deliverables
Work cross-functionally with business leads to develop SaaS initiatives, roadmaps, and oversight for all of BetterCloud’s application suite
Responsible for portfolio planning exercises for the Engineering division, including headcount planning, budget tracking and forecasting. Lead the project team to achieve target scope, schedule and cost
Work with product and engineering SMEs to define scope, create estimates, develop budgets, and produce documentation needed for funding approvals
Create and communicate cloud cost models and forecasts that influence our strategic decision-making
Identify cost optimization opportunities and work with Engineering leadership to prioritize them appropriately
Work with key Technology Partners and Partner Engineering Manager to build a comprehensive strategy delivering impactful outcomes to the organization
Responsible for management of programs: conduct health checks, and use technical experience and data to handle risk and address raised impediments

About You

6+ years of experience with technical program management
Expertise in program / portfolio management with financial and budget management experience
Experience as a Technical Program Manager at a fast-paced SaaS company
Experience with cloud infrastructure concepts, public cloud providers (e.g., GCP, AWS, or Azure), cost management/optimization
Excellent ability to understand technical aspects of product development and expertise in SDLC practices
Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills for effective communication with multiple organizational levels including C-level executives
Detail-oriented and able to understand the bigger picture by using technical expertise and problem-solving abilities to prioritize and manage blocking issues
High-level thinker, with strong attention to detail in project execution
Knowledge of any industry standard PPM tools like Smartsheet, Clarity, Planview and expertise in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong mediation and negotiation skills

Please note that this information is provided for those hired in Colorado only, and this role is open to candidates outside of Colorado as well.

Salary Range: $135,000 – $175,000
