This role requires a collaborative leader with strong program management experience and deep understanding of public cloud economics, DevOps and SRE practices, financial management, and the ability to successfully influence in a highly matrixed environment.What You’ll DoProvide program management functions for a portfolio of complex and high-profile programsDrive the adoption of key engineering practices like Continuous Integration & Deployment, Push Button Releases, etc. to improve quality and reliability of team’s deliverablesWork cross-functionally with business leads to develop SaaS initiatives, roadmaps, and oversight for all of BetterCloud’s application suiteResponsible for portfolio planning exercises for the Engineering division, including headcount planning, budget tracking and forecasting. Lead the project team to achieve target scope, schedule and costWork with product and engineering SMEs to define scope, create estimates, develop budgets, and produce documentation needed for funding approvalsCreate and communicate cloud cost models and forecasts that influence our strategic decision-makingIdentify cost optimization opportunities and work with Engineering leadership to prioritize them appropriatelyWork with key Technology Partners and Partner Engineering Manager to build a comprehensive strategy delivering impactful outcomes to the organizationResponsible for management of programs: conduct health checks, and use technical experience and data to handle risk and address raised impedimentsAbout You6+ years of experience with technical program managementExpertise in program / portfolio management with financial and budget management experienceExperience as a Technical Program Manager at a fast-paced SaaS companyExperience with cloud infrastructure concepts, public cloud providers (e.g., GCP, AWS, or Azure), cost management/optimizationExcellent ability to understand technical aspects of product development and expertise in SDLC practicesExcellent oral, written, and presentation skills for effective communication with multiple organizational levels including C-level executivesDetail-oriented and able to understand the bigger picture by using technical expertise and problem-solving abilities to prioritize and manage blocking issuesHigh-level thinker, with strong attention to detail in project executionKnowledge of any industry standard PPM tools like Smartsheet, Clarity, Planview and expertise in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Strong mediation and negotiation skillsWhat We OfferCompetitive salaryFull benefits packageStock optionsCareer growth with an industry innovatorBetterCloud is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disabled and vets.Remote – Qualified applicants based on most states of the U.S.A. are eligible for this position.
