The Subsurface Technology Data Analytics Advisor will advise and assist the Asset Teams in development of technical solutions needed to answer specific asset development questions through the application of reservoir engineering principals and data analytics softwareWork with the asset teams to organize and manage subsurface data sets including seismic, petrophysical and reservoir engineering data, geo-mechanical data, completions and production data to facilitate usage by the development teams in interpretation, evaluation, and predictive applicationsLead multi-disciplinary evaluations of multi-variant analysis tools and other software to enhance the evaluation and predictive capabilities of the reservoir engineers, geoscientists, and completions engineers in their asset development optimization effortsLead special projects focused on development of technical evaluations and processes to address common questions across the asset base (depletion modelling, spacing and stacking optimization, etc.…). Present findings and work with the asset teams to integrate into their specific workflowsAssist and support the Completions team in gathering, organizing, and integrating data to facilitate informed fracture propagation models, and impacts of reservoir depletion, pumping rate, and fluid and proppant loadings on reservoir complexity development and well performanceAdvise and mentor reservoir and completions engineers on the Asset Teams in support of their asset optimization prioritiesPresent examples and highlight results and benefits of the application of technology and technical solutions in the evaluation, characterization, and optimization of Callon’s asset base to executive leadershipServe as the operations liaison to corporate level data storage and workflow optimization initiative team(s)
. Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering and/or equivalent reservoir engineering experience with a relevant degree in computer/data scienceMinimum 10 years oil and gas industry experienceSolid foundation of reservoir engineering principles/analytical techniquesMinimum of 5 years of unconventional reservoir experienceSelf-starter, highly motivated individual, ability to work successfully in a multi-disciplinary team environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsBe able to meet the physical requirements of the positionMust be able to work in the United States without the assistance of sponsorship.
