In this role you will work on hydraulic filtration products, as part of our Hydraulic Business Unit serving the fast-paced aftermarket. Duties and Responsibilities: Work with our aftermarket business unit to design and launch new products for use in hydraulics filtration applications worldwide. Demonstrate innovation and provide value to customers and industry utilizing a variety tools and resources available in a technology driven company. Recognizing customer input and translating into new products, applications, and technologies that provide value. Becoming a subject matter expert in the hydraulic filtration market. Utilizing and refining established business practices such as Advanced Product Development to develop new products. Using your mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to advance engineering projects. Advancing product strategies by meeting program objectives. Managing test programs to ensure products are meeting expectations. Providing design guidance and input on products. Working with manufacturing colleagues to ensure the successful launch of new products. Identifying new opportunities for technology in the marketplace and aide in growing Donaldson IP portfolio. Staying informed of new designs, methods/techniques, materials, quality systems and other technical advances in the fluid power industry. Providing technical support to Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing and Engineering through customer visits and/or consultations. Educating others on filtration tools and principles as a market leader in filtration. Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Minimum 2+ years related professional engineering experience. Ability to travel 15%. Preferred Qualification: Ability to create innovative new products incorporating the voice of the customer. Must have good work ethic, self-confidence, and the ability to collaborate within a team environment. Ability to communicate at all levels. Demonstrated project management skills. Experience working through and supporting product launches. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability. Highly organized, detailed oriented, and proactive. Demonstrated flexibility when managing through competing projects and priorities. Hydraulic systems experience is preferred. Filtration knowledge/experience a plus.
