Job Summary and Description:
This is an opportunity to support and learn power system EMT studies, Harmonic studies, GIC simulations, data analysis, SSO studies and software tool development on projects related to special studies in transmission system planning.
Job Functions:
Work with senior level engineers to support power system simulations, EMT studies, Harmonic studies, GIC simulations, data analysis
Assist in research and analytics for the modeling and simulation of transmission special studies, in areas including but not limited to steady-state, dynamic, and transient response.
Ideal Candidate:
Working toward a Masters of Science degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering
Direct experience with commercial tools, specifically EMTP, PSS/E
Strong mathematics, analytics, and software skills.
Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python or MATLAB is a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills
