| Job Description : | 5G Power Electronic EngineerThis position will work for new product power supply circuit design of next-generation 5G wireless infrastructure hardware for Small Cell, O-RU (radio unit), and 5G cellular products.Strong knowledge of switching power supply such as AC / DC, DC / DC, DC / AC system and circuit topologies, and proficiency with the design and selection of power components, power topologies, close loop control method.Job Responsibilities Include: Work in a global engineering team environment, soliciting and sharing expertise with other organizations.Participate in a design team that will perform detailed design tasks specifying and evaluating new components to assure proper performance.Designs power circuitry including, power transformers, chokes, switching components, power management ICs, optimizes power conversion efficiency.Investigate circuit design issues, propose solutions and implement design updates.Documenting circuit implementation specifications, circuit test plans, and manufacturing test specifications.Support senior engineers in project tasks.Familiar with laboratory electrical test and troubleshooting techniques and test equipment.Adhere to Fii engineering processes, including the maintenance of accurate documentation.Be able to travel internationally to support customer deployment.Troubleshooting design issues and brainstorming with team to find a fix,Component (chip) selection and drawing schematicsSoldering of electronic componentsEducation Requirements and Ideal Experience Includes: Previous work/lab experience in switching power supply circuit design (100W+), implementation, and validation testing.University or Institute is mainly elective electrical machinery or power electronic better.Experience in circuit schematic design and PCB CAD layout (Tool: OrCAD/Allegro/Mentor Graphic Expedition).Experience in the use of simulation tools.Experience in the use of test equipment such as digital oscilloscopes and signal analyzers.Familiarity with Mentor Graphics ECAD tools, IC firmware burning, Python scripting.Foxconn provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, or protected Veteran status.
