| Job Description : | This position sets drilling fluids and solids control strategies forward vision, follows best practices and evaluates the use of new technologies.This position will manage both an internal wholesale drilling fluids supply with mud engineers and external mud services recommending business ratio distributions quarterly.Accountable for the preparation of a Drilling Fluids Program for each well drilled with agreement of fluid types and specifications with the Drilling Engineer.Responsible for interfacing daily or as needed with Drilling Engineers on well issues.Supervise the Drilling Fluids Superintendents. Manage the processes being implemented for consistency.Accountable for Daily Mud Reports, product usage and daily cost.Conduct daily reporting analysis to establish trends in cost and drilling fluid performance. Ensure reporting accuracy.Accountable for End of Well Re-Caps that has inventories used and cost that match the invoices.Accountable for solids control equipment type and usage, vendor selection, delivery of expectations and for vendor performance and cost.Accountable for tank farms and product inventories including strategy of same.Maintain Drilling Fluid Services goals in alignment with the well objectives.Utilize optimization, new technologies and best practices to drive the Drilling Fluids Service direction.Interface with the Environmental Department on drill cutting disposition specifications and procedures.Qualifications: * Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry with at least half of that experience directly related to Drilling Fluid management.Must demonstrate problem-solving skills and the ability to work as a team member.Must have good verbal and written communication skills, be well organized, have good people skills, and demonstrate good computer skills.Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.Salary competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.Job Type: Full-timePay: $400.00 – $800.00 per daySchedule:10 hour shift12 hour shift8 hour shiftMonday to FridayWeekend availabilityEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Field service: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location |
