| Job Description : | Drafter IJob descriptionCAD Drafter I lean to be proficient in preparing construction drawings and documents for multiple systems, including natural gas transmission and distribution pipelines, substation, underground, and overhead electrical projects including physical layouts, elevations, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Technicians develop a basic understanding of project requirements. This role works on a team with designers and engineers who apply information electronic drawing files.ResponsibilitiesUse computer-aided drafting tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Plant 3D, as well as technical handbooks, utility standards, tables, and calculators to create relevant drawings and 3D modelsWork under the direction of designers and design supervisorsManage and maintain design records and filesAble to work independently with minimal supervisionPrepare studies, perform field surveys, document existing conditions, and/or recommend design solutionsQualifications Minimum 2 years of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Plant 3D experience Positive attitude and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively Knowledgeable of relevant industry standards for design and construction Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other relevant software The fundamental training in the use of computer-aided drafting software, including CAD Suite, Civil 3D, and Plant 3DJob Types: Full-time, ContractAbility to commute/relocate:San Diego, CA 92103: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Education:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:AutoCAD,: 2 years (Preferred)CIVIL 3D, Plant 3D: 2 years (Preferred)Security clearance:Confidential (Preferred)Work Location: One location |
