Responsibilities
Planning, managing, and reporting on the documentation created to fulfill TGS and customer configuration and data requirements
Perform detailed engineering release and change documentation review. Interface with other departments including Program Management, Engineering, Quality, and other functions concerning the initial release and formal changes to engineering releases
Required to ensure design projects adhere to established configuration management process through audit and surveillance
Chair and Manage change management process
Prepare documentation (e.g. agendas, presentation materials, actions, minutes) and audio/visual tools in support of the Configuration Control Board (CCB) and Change Review Board (CRB)
Ensure current configuration management process complies with customer/government requirements
Verify engineering changes are authorized prior to release
Process documentation submitted by subcontractors
Prepare and maintain standard work instructions Qualifications
Associates degree or related work experience
Formal configuration management training is a plus
Experience using Microsoft office and Adobe Acrobat
Demonstrated ability to read engineering documentation (e.g. drawings, specifications, reports)
Familiar with data management systems (PDM/PLM software)
Experience with ERP management
3 years of experience working in configuration management with a firm understanding of current aerospace principles and practices
Good customer interface skills for coordination of approval of technical data packages
Familiar with computer aided drafting software such as Solidworks, Catia, Creo, or Unigraphics. Experience using 3D modeling software in a professional environment is a plus.
Understanding of AS9100 requirements as they relate to configuration management. Understanding of SAE EIA-649 is also desirable.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with little supervision
