| Job Description : | Aircraft Interior Engineer – Mechanical (Remote) The Aircraft Interior Engineer – Mechanical will work alongside the customer’s engineering department to develop complete engineering packages for aircraft interior modifications and reconfigurations. This includes researching, designing, planning, and supporting all phases of the interior modification and/or reconfiguration projects. Remote/Virtual positions available based on experience. Core Responsibilities Work alongside customer’s engineering department to develop complete engineering packages for aircraft interior reconfigurations Generate engineering documents to provide instructions for aircraft modification or repair Generate modification and repair substantiations which may include Flammability Reports, Weight and Balance Reports, 14 CFR Part 25 and 14 CFR Part 121 Compliance Reports Generate/Interpret Engineering drawings which may include Aircraft LOPA’s, Modification, Instillation, and/or Repair of Components Participate in vendor coordination meetings, both on and off site Required Experience and Qualifications Preferred degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, but not required with relevant experience Some travel. Typically, 3-4 days at a time for vendor meetings, PDRs, CDRs, ITCMs, etc. Potential for longer duration rotations for on-site during prototype Familiarity with some or all of the following: structural, electrical, mechanical systems Familiar with FAA Flammability Requirements Previous experience on commercial airline interior reconfigurations Must have a good working knowledge of CFR’s with emphasis on part 25 and part 121 Ability to read and decipher: Engineering Order Change Requests IPCs CMMs LOPAs Engineering drawings Familiar with Microsoft Office Products, AutoCAD Understands the importance of attention to detail and has the ability to manage workload across multiple projects Proficient in technical writing styles Experience with SCEPTRE a plus Other Information TBD – Full time role Locations in Atlanta, GA and Minneapolis, MN.
