Job Opening for #2203 Senior Test Engineer (TE40) in ADVANTEDGE TECHNOLOGY, INC. (271 Market St Ste 15, Port Hueneme, CA 93041)

Full Time position supporting the TSRCS group within the SDTS Task Order filling the senior engineer position. Duties include: maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of exterior communications equipment, development of test plans, and overseeing installation of new equipment/systems. Tasking also includes conducting operations training on newly installed equipment, conducting engineering obsolescence analysis, and providing other engineering services as required. The position is located at NSWC PHD in the SWEF Building.

Position Duties:
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, or other technical degree and minimum of 8 years of experience.
Must be able to understand and develop engineering drawings, diagrams, and other engineering documentation.
Must be able to work independently troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining exterior communications equipment including AN/USC-61, RT-1107/WSC-3, AN/URC-86, and OA-9123/SRC.
Must be able to perform complex engineering tasks including requirements analysis, reverse engineering of equipment, recommendations for improvements/upgrades, and implementation of new technology.
Must be able to provide weekly/final completion reports of assigned tasks.
Must have a valid driver’s license with own transportation and able to travel (0 – 25%).
Must be able to satisfactorily complete background check and get a government clearance.
Must be able to follow company policies and procedures.
Must be able to write, speak and understand English and able to write clear, detailed technical monthly reports.

Preferred Skills:
Experience with US Navy sensors, display, and weapon systems
Experience with training others in how to operate exterior communications systems

Mandatory Physical Requirements:
Potential shipboard riding for test events (0 – 8 events/year).
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must be able to climb ladders and work aloft.
